02-13-17 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

February 13, 2017
the LORD said to Cain: “Why are you so resentful and crestfallen. If you do well, you can hold up your head; but if not, sin is a demon lurking at the door: his urge is toward you, yet you can be his master.”   Gn_4:1-15,25

How many times, beloved, do we struggle and fight with that demon lurking at our door?  How many times do we win and how many are lost?  God said we can be his master!  With Jesus on our side, we CAN win always!

And we can begin with “doing well” in everything we do! We begin with our thoughts.  We follow with our actions.  And when the ‘wellness’ within us so encompasses our whole being, then that demon doesn’t even have a chance.  Pray, beloved, to Jesus, to the Holy Spirit, to strengthen us in this quest.  And we will find ourselves more than Victorious!
