(Ss. Philip and James, Apostles)
Jesus said, “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father. And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.” Jn_14:6-14
These “works” of Jesus’ love are described in a parable in Matthew’s Gospel, where Jesus said: ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’ Mt 25:34-36
When we truly believe in Jesus and know Him, beloved, the things we ask of Him will not be for our own selfish gain. They will be for the benefit of others in need. And Jesus will answer our requests by giving us all we need in order to help them. What’s beyond our capability will be left to be done according to the will of God. We pray that their souls be embraced by God in their sickness or their health, in their life or their death and that we may always have the sight to recognize their needs and give the Glory to God for their healing, all in the Name of Jesus!
May our Loving God bless YOU, now and forever!
