05-24-17 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

May 24, 2017
Jesus said to his disciples: “I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now.  But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth.”   Jn_16:12-15

You cannot bear it now!  Ever get to those points in life, beloved, when we’re just tired of hearing all that religion stuff.  When we just can’t bear it any longer.  Yes, Jesus loves us, but let’s get on with life here!  LIFE!

Sometimes the Spirit of Truth WANTS us to fall away from all of that book stuff for a while.  To fall away from all the Church decorations, accountability groups, teaching classes, and communion services given to people who fall asleep in the middle (of a 15-minute service).  Sometimes the Truth may come in other ways.  Speaking to a sister, you haven’t spoken with in a year (just because you were both too busy and too far apart).  Going out on a spur of the moment dinner with your wife.  Saying something other than a complaint or just happy birthday and God bless you on Facebook.  Sometimes the Spirit of Truth just may be somewhere other than Church…  Follow Her lead, beloved, and let go and just BE . . . YOU!

Oh and by the way,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY my beloved daughter GINA!
Not just God’s blessings, but a LIFE filled with happiness, joy, peace and rest (once in a while).  We Love YOU!
