06-21-17 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

June 21, 2017
(St. Aloysius Gonzaga, Religious)
St. Paul wrote, “Brothers and sisters, consider this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.  Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2_Cor_9:6-11

Ever notice, beloved, what joy giving brings to us.  And it’s not always those material things that the receiver may or may not actually like.  The joy of giving may just be as simple as being there for someone who needs company.  Giving a friend a ride or letting someone take a place ahead of you in line.  All of these are more valuable than any material gift.  God loves a cheerful giver.  One who gives from the heart and not from the pocketbook!
