(St. Thomas, Apostle)
Jesus came, although the doors were locked, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side, and do not be unbelieving, but believe.” Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.” Jn_20:24-29
Again, that’s us, beloved. BLESSED! For we have NOT seen Jesus, except maybe in pictures imagined by artists. We have not touched, but we are touched by Him constantly! We are touched by inspiring pictures, by heart wrenching movies, by friend’s kindness and even by our own kindness to others. That’s where Jesus is for us, beloved. And Jesus says, ‘Blessed are we,’ because we believe!
Never forget all those moments of closeness to Jesus. And one day we WILL see Him as He truly is: Love!
