07-27-17 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

July 27, 2017
Jesus said to His disciples, This is why I speak to them in parables, because ‘they look but do not see and hear but do not listen or understand.’  . . . “But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear.  Amen, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”   Mt_13:10-17

To hear the Word of God straight from His own mouth!  Do the parables make sense to you, beloved?  Are they clear as day or as obscure as fog at night.  God gives us the ability to understand through the Holy Spirit within us.  If we are not living right with God, maybe that’s why Jesus’ parables don’t make any sense.  Once we clear out the cobwebs of our hearts, get rid of any hatred or animosity we have toward others, and learn to love, everything that Jesus said will make perfect sense.  This was the rich soil that He was speaking about yesterday.  Don’t let the world steal His Truth from your hearts, and His Word will bear fruit many times over.  That is the Kingdom of His love!  And it’s just waiting there for you and for me!
