08-02-17 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

August 2, 2017
(St. Eusebius of Vercelli, Bishop)
As Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the commandments in his hands, he did not know that the skin of his face had become radiant while he conversed with the LORD. . . .  Moses then spoke to them (the people). . . . When he finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face.    Ex_34:29-35

There’s something that happens to us, beloved, when we come into a conversation with the Lord.  When we pray and listen for His guidance, for His assurance, and in His love, it changes us!  And just like Moses, we become radiant with His joy.  Have you ever seen someone who was radiant in the Joy of God?  There’s no mistaking them.  And we don’t need to veil their faces because that Joy radiates into us as well.  And we can all surely use a little joy from God!

So next time you enter your own quiet space, beloved, listen for His voice.  He’s there waiting to speak with you.
