08-19-17 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

August 19, 2017
(St. John Eudes, Priest)
Joshua said to the Israelites, “If it does not please you to serve the LORD, decide today whom you will serve, the gods your fathers served beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites in whose country you are dwelling.  As for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”  Jos_24:14-29

Are we so wrapped up in the gods of the world, beloved, that we have forgotten all that our Lord has done for us?  If it so be our will, though our God will always love us, so we have chosen.

But . . .

Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”  Mt_19:13-15

. . But, never ever stop the children!  For these have found, these know the path to the Kingdom!

As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord!

And we pray for the souls of those who have chosen otherwise!

God never stops loving us all!
