11-04-17 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

November 4, 2017
(Saint Charles Borromeo, Bishop)
Jesus said, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
For I am meek and humble of heart.”   Mt_11:29ab

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled,
but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” Lk_14:1,7-11

It’s humble pie week!  Maybe Jesus is trying to tell us something, beloved!  And it doesn’t necessarily mean having to do something that embarrasses us, as much as it means to stop making ourselves so puffed up with pride.  Step down once in a while.  Build the other one up and allow yourself to be number-2 for a change.  At the end of the day we should try to find something we did that was humbling!   And count how many other people we helped feel better!
