(St. Martin of Tours, Bishop)
Jesus Christ became poor although he was rich, so that by his poverty you might become rich. 2_Cor_8:9
Jesus said, “No servant can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Lk_16:9-15
So, yes, there is a difference between Spiritual wealth and worldly wealth. We can be poor in finances, poor in health, poor in fame, but we can at the same time be rich in God. When we can discern the difference, beloved, then we’re beginning to see where our Kingdom lies. True wealth lies beyond the self!
