12-13-17 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

December 13, 2017
(St. Lucy, Virgin and Martyr)
To whom can you liken me as an equal, says the Holy One.  Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these things: . . . The LORD is the eternal God, creator of the ends of the earth. . . . They that hope in the LORD will renew their strength, they will soar as with eagles’ wings; They will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.   Is_40:25-31

Tired, beloved?  Tired of the ever pessimistic media?  Tired of ugly tattoos and curses, of the hypocrisy and the disrespect?  Tired of all the hatred and wars and evil all around us?  Tired of life?  Raise your eyes to the LORD of hosts.  In Him is our hope and our salvation!  He is our strength and our endurance.  Not only will we walk the distance, but we’ll even FLY!

Today, like St. Lucy, raise your eyes to the Lord.  And even in the midst of persecution and evil, we will soar like the eagles in the Spirit of His Love.  And like St. Lucy, that love of and for God will be remembered, even as much as 1700 years later!

Praise God for Her example!
And Praise God for sending Jesus to show us that Love!

Jesus said to the crowds: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”  Mt_11:28-30
