12-17-17 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

December 17, 2017
(3rd Sunday of Advent, B)
I rejoice heartily in the LORD, in my God is the joy of my soul;  Is_61:1-2a,10-11

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, Lk_1:46-54

Brothers and sisters: Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing.  In all circumstances give thanks,  1_Thes_5:16-24

A man named John was sent from God.  He came for testimony, to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to testify to the light.  Jn_1:6-8,19-28

Yes, there is reason for rejoicing, beloved, in all this Christmas stuff.  Out of the darkness, God has shone the light.  And if we truly understand, we KNOW that Jesus is that light!  He IS the light of God’s love for all of us.  So there is no more reason to live in the darkness.  Come to know Jesus, beloved, and the light of Christ will live in you as well!  And that’s what Christmas is all about!  What better reason to REJOICE!
