1-20-18 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

January 20, 2018
(St. Fabian, Pope)
After huge battle, a messenger came to David and wanted to speak with him, “Tell me what happened,” David bade him.  He answered that many of the soldiers had fled the battle and that many of them had fallen and were dead, among them Saul and his son Jonathan.

David seized his garments and rent them, and all the men who were with him did likewise. They mourned and wept and fasted until evening for Saul and his son Jonathan, and for the soldiers of the LORD of the clans of Israel, because they had fallen by the sword.  2_Sm_1:1-27

After all that Saul had done against David, David loved him and Jonathan unconditionally!  And in their deaths, he mourned.  THIS is how our God loves us, beloved, unconditionally.  Even after all of our sins, our turning away from Him, He still loves us.  It is this Love that keeps us going, beloved.  And we are to do likewise with everyone we come in contact with!

Love!
