03-06-18 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

March 6, 2018
Peter approached Jesus and asked him, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him?  As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times.   Mt_18:21-35

OK, I’m not the only one going crazy with all these numbers.  While Jesus was playing around with 7’s, I keep getting stuck on 9’s, today being 3/6.  If you take 3×6 you get 18, which added together is 1+8=9.  And if you take it one step further, it’s 03-06-18.  That’s 3+6=9 and 1+8=9 and if you put them all together you get 9+9=18 which is again 1+8=9. Of course today’s Gospel couldn’t be from anywhere but – Mt 18.

So how many times do we need to forgive – as many as all the numbers in the world add up to, with a bunch of zero’s to boot.  And that’s just endless!  Or at least it’s something more than zero!

Mercy me!
