04-02-18 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

April 2, 2017
Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went away quickly from the tomb, fearful yet overjoyed, and ran to announce the news to his disciples.  And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them.   Mt_28:8-15

Emotions!  Aren’t they a hoot!  Ever get so happy it brings you to tears!  Ever get so full of fear and yet overjoyed.  Kind of like knowing you’re going to fail that test, and yet when it lands on your desk, there it is, the only question you truly knew the right answer for!  Or when you’re sitting in Mass and the readings talk about all those sins you’re forgiven of, because of Jesus’ suffering and death.  Makes you want to cry in shame, yet jump for joy in what Jesus did for all of us!!!  Or else the incredible fear of speaking in public and the joy of feeling the Holy Spirit take over and make it all work out, no matter how much you trip over your tongue.

Emotions!  They surely can be enigmatic!  But they also make life quite interesting.  Especially that one called “love.”

Peace and blessings, beloved!
