05-11-18 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

May 11, 2018
Jesus said, “I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice,
and no one will take your joy away from you.”  Jn_16:20-23

Ever move or change jobs and come to find out that you are saddened by leaving friends as much as they are by losing you?  One day, beloved, we will be separating from one another much more (seemingly) permanently, in death.  A separation where we will not be able to visit them (physically), though they are always in our hearts and in our mind’s eye.

Well, just as Jesus said to His disciples, one day we will all be reunited as well!  And that day will be one of GREAT joy:  to be in union with those we haven’t seen in ages!  You see, even though death is “seemingly” permanent, it is, in reality, not.  There WILL be a reunion and OH what a day that will be!

Come, Lord Jesus!
