(Saint Irenaeus, Bishop and Martyr)
Jesus said to his disciples: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.” Mt_7:21-29
When we come to those pearly gates, beloved, will Jesus truly “know” us? Do we know Him enough to say, “Look, here is the life I gave for you, not just in word, but in deed as well!” It really does go beyond thinking that going to Mass will save us, when we spend the rest of the week worshiping money or sports or ourselves. Jesus wants us to know Him through our interactions with others, even with those who challenge us. Are we relying on Him always? Are we offering those sufferings to His glory? Are we loving even when love hurts? This is the will of my Father. And THIS will open that narrow gate to His Kingdom, now and forever!
The peace and love of Christ be with you always!
And a big “Happy Birthday” to my beloved grandson, Isaac!
Twelve, and many, many more to come!
We are So proud of you!
