07-15-18 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

July 15, 2018
(15th Sunday Ordinary Time, B)
May the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ
enlighten the eyes of our hearts,
that we may know what is the hope
that belongs to our call.
Alleluia Verse, Eph_1:17-18

Today’s Scriptures speak about God’s call.  His call of the simple shepherd named Amos to prophesy to Israel.  His call of the early Christians of Ephesus in Asia Minor.  His call of the Apostles on their first missionary endeavor.  And His call to us to be followers of them all, as mirrors of Jesus.  Jesus wants everyone to know of God’s great love for them, the Good News of the Kingdom!  And that call of ours may be one of prayer, it may be teaching the young, it may be serving in many different functions of your own Church community.  Whatever it may be for you, beloved, do with your whole heart and do it sharing God’s love that lives in your heart!
