07-27-18 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

July 27, 2018
Jesus said to his disciples: “Hear the parable of the sower.  . . . the seed sown on rich soil is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and yields a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold.”   Mt_13:18-23

In this parable, Jesus describes all those who fall away from belief.  When our hearts are not rooted in the Word, in Jesus, the world and the enticements of the world can drag us away in fear, in greed or in weakness.  Staying rooted in the Word comes with prayer, with Mass attendance, with the reading of the Scriptures and with Thanksgiving to God for every breath we take, for the abundant grace of every good gift God has given us.

When we can stay rooted in Jesus, beloved, we will know and see the fruit of His work in us: the building of God’s kingdom!  And THAT’s why we’re here!

Blessed are you who know and love and share the goodness of God’s love!
