(St. Peter Chrysologus, Bishop and Doctor of the Church)
All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables. He spoke to them only in parables, to fulfill what had been said through the prophet: “I will open my mouth in parables, I will announce what has lain hidden from the foundation of the world.” Mt_13:31-35
What was hidden . . . that there is love in man’s heart. Love that’s even more powerful than wealth and beauty and fame! Love that conquers all evil. Love that opens the door to a kingdom that we can experience right here and now.
It may begin as a tiny seed. But it grows like yeast in flour. Jesus is asking all who believe in Him to spread that yeast, to grow His kingdom and to live this “secret.” And even though it has been hidden, it is now opened wide for the whole world to experience through Him, through Jesus!
Come, beloved, and LIVE the kingdom of Love!
