(The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary)
Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.” Lk_1:39-56
Elizabeth knew. John knew. Mary knew!
How strong is our belief, beloved? Do we believe enough to say we KNOW! Without a shadow of a doubt. Know enough, to jump for joy. Enough to shout out, “Blessed are you, Mary” “Holy are You, Jesus!”
And to know that one day we also will be united with God, body and soul, in the resurrection on the “last day!”
For Mary, she was already there! And in Her Assumption she is now there, body and soul, with God, with her Son Jesus, awaiting us. Thank you Mary, for leading our way! Thank you for your “Yes!”
