08-27-18 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

August 27, 2018
(St. Monica, Mother of St. Augustine)
We always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and powerfully bring to fulfillment every good purpose and every effort of faith, that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, in accord with the grace of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.   2_Thes_1:1-5,11-12

We pray always, beloved, not only for you, but for the whole of Christ’s Church.

We pray for those who have lost their faith in God, that they will find their way back home.  We pray for those who wandered from the teachings of God and of Jesus and fell into sin.  We pray for all the perpetrators of evil in the world, that mankind will learn that compassion is much more profitable to themselves than oppression and aggression.  We pray for the victims of evil, that they will be comforted by good Christian advocates and find forgiveness in their hearts.  We pray for our priests, our leadership and ourselves, that God will protect us and save us from the temptations of the world and make us true lights to those in darkness.

In Jesus’ Name we pray!

In Jesus’ Name we serve!
