01-19-19 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

January 19, 2019
The word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.   Heb_4:12-16

Let the words of my mouth and the thought of my heart find favor before you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer. Ps 19
R. Your words, Lord, are Spirit and life.

Jesus said to him, “Follow me.”   Mk_2:13-17

So, which of His words strike you today, beloved? Is it His call?  Is it His healing words?  Is it the Love and Life He promises to the Faithful?  Or is it the “two-edged sword” that exposes our hearts?  Maybe we need a little ‘sin’-ectomy to remove the cancerous sin, those death causing habits, of our lives.  Come back to His word, beloved, and you will be healed.

For, Jesus said, “Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.”  Mk_2:13-17
