02-07-19 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

February 7, 2019
Jesus summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over unclean spirits. He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick – no food, no sack, no money in their belts.  Mk_6:7-13

Job is quoted as saying, “Naked I came forth from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I go back there.  The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD!” Jb_1:21

So why are we so worried about always having so much stuff with us when we go away?  Gotta have our smartphone.  Gotta have 4-extra pairs of clothes for that trip.  Gotta have all our makeup and cleansing stuff.  Jesus told His disciples to take the bare minimum.  God will provide all they and we will ever need.  Have Faith!
