02-11-19 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

February 11, 2019
(World Day of the Sick)
In the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth,
the earth was a formless wasteland, and darkness covered the abyss, while a mighty wind swept over the waters.  Gn_1:1-19

Just as the Holy Spirit swept over the dark waters of the newly created earth to bring light and hope and life, so She will sweep over all of us, beloved, to bring healing.  When we trust in Jesus, with just a touch in prayer, with a gaze at His crucifix, with a whisper in the depths of our souls, He will heal us of our sin, of our ailments, of our hopelessness.  And our lives will be filled with the light of His hope.  Trust in Him, beloved, and live!

(Today is also the true Memorial day of Our Lady of Lourdes)
