02-16-19 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

February 16, 2019
Then the LORD God said: “See! The man has become like one of us, knowing what is good and what is evil!  Therefore, he must not be allowed to put out his hand to take fruit from the tree of life also, and thus eat of it and live forever.”  The LORD God therefore banished him from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he had been taken.  Gn_3:9-24

And yet, the love of God for His creation was still and is always there.  God would give man chance after chance to redeem himself, an action that was impossible to achieve.  You see, only God could redeem man to Himself.  And so, He became man in order to accomplish just that.  Jesus reopened the gateway to the that Tree of life and the only ticket in is our choice to believe in Him.  To believe in the love of God for us and to show our love for Him in our love for one another.  There is a line between good and evil, beloved, and that line has been drawn in our hearts.  We know!  And just in case we forgot – Jesus came to remind us . . . God loves us, no matter what!
