(St. Frances of Rome, Religious)
Thus says the LORD: If you remove from your midst oppression, false accusation and malicious speech; If you bestow your bread on the hungry and satisfy the afflicted; Then light shall rise for you in the darkness, and the gloom shall become for you like midday; Then the LORD will guide you always and give you plenty even on the parched land. The promises of righteousness. Just as a parent wants nothing more than to see his child thrive and flourish in everything he or she does, so God wants us to flourish as well. And how do we do that? We bridle our tongue, we help the needy among us and we always keep in our hearts positive thoughts and words. When our lives can be filled with the joy of the Lord, then we will reflect God’s Joy into every encounter we make. And our Father WILL be pleased with us! For that is His will!
