The decadent, runaway son came back home after all his wealth was exhausted.  And bowing in humility said, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son.’ But his father ordered his servants, ‘Quickly, bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.  Lk_15:1-3,11-32

What is the condition of our relationship with our heavenly Father, beloved?  Do we recognize our errors in morality, our shortage in giving, our lack of compassion, our sin?  God is anxiously awaiting our return.  And when we do, in repentance, and humility, and respect, He will shower us with His mercy and love, just as the father of the Prodigal Son did in Jesus’ parable.

Come home beloved.  He is waiting!
