04-06-19 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

April 6, 2019
The guards went to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, “Why did you not bring him? (Jesus)” The guards answered, “Never before has anyone spoken like this man.”  So the Pharisees answered them, “Have you also been deceived?  Have any of the authorities or the Pharisees believed in him? But this crowd, which does not know the law, is accursed.” Nicodemus, one of their members who had come to him earlier, said to them, “Does our law condemn a man before it first hears him and finds out what he is doing?”  Jn_7:40-53

So who’s the outlier?  Is it the one driven by emotion, or the one driven by common sense.  Do all the rules go out the window when fanaticism strikes?  Is it not the same thing today?  Is our world driven by common sense, by life and truth, by the model of Jesus?   Or are there a few fanatics driven by greed and ignorance who lead the masses of sheep in our world into the pit of destruction?  Which one are we beloved?  I don’t believe it’s the latter!
