04-15-19 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

April 15, 2019
Here is my servant whom I uphold,
my chosen one with whom I am pleased,
Upon whom I have put my Spirit;
he shall bring forth justice to the nations,
Not crying out, not shouting,
not making his voice heard in the street.
A bruised reed he shall not break,
and a smoldering wick he shall not quench,
Until he establishes justice on the earth;
the coastlands will wait for his teaching.
Is_42:1-7

Just makes us wonder.  Am I that smoldering wick or that bruised reed, not quenched and not broken but left to see what happens next?  Lord, send your Spirit to reignite me, to splint my brokenness so that I can be strong and on fire for you.  And help me to see others the same way.  Help me to enkindle in them the fire of your love, to heal their wounds and to bind up their brokenness.  We are One body in you, Lord.  Let your justice shine in our world!  The justice of LOVE!
