04-26-19 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

April 26, 2019
The resurrected Jesus said to them (the Apostles while fishing), “Children, have you caught anything to eat?” They answered him, “No.” So he said to them, “Cast the net over the right side of the boat and you will find something.” So they cast it, and were not able to pull it in because of the number of fish.   Jn_21:1-14

I always loved this story about the way Jesus speaks to us, too, beloved.  When we’re sitting there downcast, depressed that nothing seems to be going right.  After we’ve tried and tried and just can’t seem to accomplish our goal, that’s when we listen to that little voice within that says – try it the other way.  Yes, it may seem a long shot.  Yes, it may even seem unreasonable or not worth the continued effort.  But, you know what, it just might be Jesus giving us the answer we were seeking all along.   Give it a shot, beloved.  Cast the net on the “other” side!  The answer may be even more than we ever imagined possible!  Trust in Jesus!
