(2nd Sunday Easter, Divine Mercy Sunday, C)
Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.” Jn_20:19-31
Peace, Commission, John’s Pentecost, God’s divine mercy.
Our call to offer the same peace. Our call to go out and make disciples of everyone in the Name of Jesus’ love. Jesus’ fulfillment of His promise to send the Holy Spirit, the Advocate, the Helper. And our call to forgive others and to never retain the sins of unforgiveness!
Go, therefore, and FOLLOW His Way!
