05-01-19 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

(St. Joseph the Worker)
God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.  Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.   Jn_3:16-21

And there’s the WHY, beloved!  God’s boundless love for everyone!  All we have to do is believe it!  Maybe we can’t love to that extreme.  Maybe we all seem to judge and condemn one another.  But, you see, we are NOT God.  And “thanks be to God,” we’re not, and He is.  Would you want anything less?  And yet, what we CAN do is – work on it.  One little love at a time: the one who slighted us, the one who ignored us, the one who hurt someone we love, the one who wrongly judged us.  One little love at a time.  One little forgiveness.  One little swallowing of pride, of vengeance and we’re on our way.  YES, it’s not easy.  And NO, we’ll never be quite like God.  But trying sure does make us feel a lot better about ourselves.  And then, wouldn’t we want everyone to have that same feeling!  So, if we missed it today, well tomorrow always offers us another chance!  And Jesus is ALWAYS there to help!  Thanks be to God!!!
