09-29-19 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

September 29, 2019
(26th Sunday Ordinary Time, C)
Though our Lord Jesus Christ was rich, he became poor, so that by his poverty you might become rich.  Cf._2_Cor_8:9 Alleluia Verse

When the deceased, rich man (in hell), of Jesus’ parable, pleaded with Abraham to send the poor Lazarus to warn his brothers of the terror of hell, and Abraham replied that he would not, the rich man responded, ‘Oh no, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’  Then Abraham said, ‘If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.'”  Lk_16:19-31

Our forewarning!
Listen!
