(St. Ignatius of Antioch, Bishop and Martyr)
Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD; LORD, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to my voice in supplication. If you, O LORD, mark iniquities, Lord, who can stand? But with you is forgiveness, that you may be revered. I trust in the LORD; my soul trusts in his word. My soul waits for the LORD more than sentinels wait for the dawn. Ps_130
Our hope rests in the Lord, who is our light and our salvation. Only in God is there mercy and forgiveness and fullness of redemption. For we are born and burdened down in our sin and our downfall lies always before us. But you O God are there to pick us up, even from the depths of the pit. We savor Your kindness and we hope in your salvation, for we are humble of heart and loving of all Your Creation. Thanks be to God our Father for the Grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and for all of Your boundless Love!
