11-18-19 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

November 18, 2019
(St.Elizabeth of Hungary, OFS)
As Jesus approached Jericho a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging, and hearing a crowd going by, he inquired what was happening.  They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”  He shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!”  Lk_18:35-43

Even though blind, the man knew that something very important was happening.  And when he learned that it was Jesus, his heart leaped for joy, as this was finally his chance for healing.  And nothing was going to stop him from getting the attention of Jesus.  How are we doing in our own quest for Jesus, beloved?  Do we recognize when He is near?  Do we pray for His help – knowing, in faith, that it will come? Jesus is awaiting our reliance on Him.  Ask, trust, and in your faith, believe – and you will be healed!
