01-14-20 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

January 14, 2020
Jesus came to Capernaum with his followers, and on the sabbath he entered the synagogue and taught. The people were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes.  Mk_1:21-28

In reality, Jesus DID have Authority.  He is no less than the Son of God.  And who besides God could truly have authority over anyone or anything!  That authority was evident by His confidence in what He said, by his understanding of both God and man, and by his compassion FOR mankind.  They are His children, His Creation.  If we’re ever looking for authority, direction or confidence, beloved, we have no further to go than back to Jesus.  He will guide us in Spirit and in Truth when we rely on Him!
