02-15-20 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

February 15, 2020
Jeroboam thought to himself: “The kingdom will return to David’s house. If now this people go up to offer sacrifices in the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem, the hearts of this people will return to their master, Rehoboam, king of Judah, and they will kill me.” After taking counsel, the king made two calves of gold and said to the people: “You have been going up to Jerusalem long enough. Here is your God, O Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.”  1_Kgs_12:26-32;13:33-34

The birth of rebellion, the birth of Death!  After all the LORD had done for the Israelites, now, He could, so easily, be forgotten.  Just like sheep being led by a wolf.  Just like a country being led to slaughter, we in our own country must be very careful of whom we listen to and believe.  Test our your premises and discern the facts from the propaganda.  If it does not have to do with building community, with saving rather than destroying life, with love of all, it’s most likely not Truth. And then, hold your head up high, for no matter how hard they will still fight against you, God will be on your side!
