03-22-20 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

March 22, 2020
(Fourth Sunday of Lent, A)
The LORD said, “There—anoint him, for this is the one!” Then Samuel, with the horn of oil in hand, anointed David in the presence of his brothers; and from that day on, the spirit of the LORD rushed upon David.  1_Sm_16:1b,6-7,10-13a

Brothers and sisters: You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.  Live as children of light, for light produces every kind of goodness and righteousness and truth.  Eph_5:8-14

Sound like baptism, beloved?  We were cleansed, anointed, blessed and became those “children of light.”  Have we shined that light in our world to see?  Have we produced goodness and righteousness?  Are we truly sons and daughters of the God who created us?  Or are we rebelling, even against ourselves?  God truly does love us.  And He will do all in his power to guide us to the light.  Follow Jesus.  Learn from the true Light.  And then LIVE that light – for ourselves and for God!
