(Ss. Charles Lwanga and Companions, Martyrs)
St. Paul wrote to his disciple, Timothy, ” I remind you to stir into flame the gift of God that you have through the imposition of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control. So do not be ashamed of your testimony to our Lord,” 2_Tm_1:1-3,6-12
. . . For that testimony may lead to discontent, to persecution and even to death – as it did for the Ugandan faithful in a time of heinous and sinful leadership in 1886, and throughout the ages. Be strong beloved, even in our own time, when the world seems to have fallen off the edge. The Lord is still and always with us!
