10-19-21 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

October 19, 2021
(Ss John de Brébeuf and Isaac Jogues, Priests, and Companions, Martyrs)
St. Paul wrote, Through one man sin entered the world, and through sin, death, and thus death came to all men, inasmuch as all sinned.  If by that one person’s transgression the many died, how much more did the grace of God and the gracious gift of the one man Jesus Christ overflow for the many. . . .  Where sin increased, grace overflowed all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through justification for eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Rom_5:12,15b,17-19,20b-21

Thus, sin = death, and grace = life, and we are justified for life through Jesus Christ.  Now all we need do is live in faith, in belief that this is True.  God’s love for us is why Jesus came to be among us.  And His presence is what drives us away from sin and into Faith in Him.  And the grace we receive as baptized believers is eternal life.  What incredibly Good News we have to live and to share in a world that could really use such news!
