The man said to Jesus, “But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” Jesus said to him, “‘If you can!’ Everything is possible to one who has faith.” Then the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe, help my unbelief!” Mk_9:14-29
As the Scriptures and the Church continue in this exploration of Faith, today Jesus again finds it so lacking, both in His disciples and in the people. They want magic, not faith. Yet, Jesus will only heal those who truly believe in Him. And that’s us as well, beloved! How strong is our faith? Or should we also be praying to God to “help our unbelief” just like the man in this story? It’s quite amazing what ‘true’ faith will bring us! Trust in Jesus and ASK!
