06-15-23 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

Jesus said to his disciples: “You have heard that it was said to your ancestors, ‘You shall not kill; and whoever kills will be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you, whoever is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment,”  Mt_5:20-26

Ever notice, beloved, that whenever we’re in conflict with another person, or even just disagreeable with their personalities – too loud, too quiet, too obnoxious, too whatever, it seems to make our whole bodies feel down.  From our attitudes toward ourselves to even those we DO get along with, something inside is just not right, it’s just not good!  Jesus tells us today to ‘fix it!’  Reconcile with that person.  Learn to ignore or accept our differences with love.  Tell them how you feel (with love).  And then get on!  You know, sometimes we just can’t fix everything.  And that’s when we learn to pray for them.  Pray for ourselves as well.  That we have the fortitude, the patience, the love within us to overcome it all and be at peace within.  This is what the Holy Spirit is here for.  Seek His guidance.  Listen for His answer!  And the peace of Christ, which is beyond all understanding, will be with you! (Phil 4)
