06-13-24 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

(St. Anthony of Padua, Priest and Doctor of the Church)
Jesus said, “if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”  Mt_5:20-26

Lost in our pride?  Lost in our anger?  Lost in our self-centeredness?  Or maybe, our brother is lost and needs a little forgiveness, a little love, a little compassion, or just a shoulder to lean on from us.  St. Anthony is our gift from God to help us get found, to help us find others, or find ourselves again, in a world of wrong turns and red lights.  St. Anthony, in Jesus’ name, pray for us, that we may be the lost coin or sheep or son, found by our Lord!
