St. Paul said, “In every circumstance and in all things I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of living in abundance and of being in need. I have the strength for everything through him who empowers me.” Phil 4:10-19
It doesn’t necessarily come with age. It doesn’t necessarily come with experience. It doesn’t have to do with sex or race or culture. With an open heart and a love for God, for Jesus, beloved, we can learn this secret through the Holy Spirit working within us. Christ empowers us. When we can rely totally upon Him, then we have learned the secret. It can be done from earliest youth to the oldest of the aged. From the lowest of farm hands to the highest of corporate execs.
We’ve heard the saying a thousand times,
“Let go and let God.”
