In St. Johns revelation, he said, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I also saw the holy city, a new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Rv 20:1-4, 11-21:2
Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” Lk 21:29-33
There is something new a-brewin’ beloved. Just like the snow storm I just experienced and the death of a 93-year ‘young’ uncle, something old has passed on and something new was a-blowin’ in. All the branches were re-dressed in white. All the darkness was awash in brightness. Life continues for us, beloved, but for my Uncle Matt a new life begins – just as it will for ALL of us one day. And in that day we will be reunited, together in the Love of Jesus. A new heaven and a new earth all bound in and by His Words. What better reason could there be to rejoice, just like a husband inebriated by the beauty of his wife! Awash in white and bound together in Love!
