08-06-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

August 6, 2015
(Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord)
As Peter, James and John sat atop that mountain and watched Jesus along with Elijah and Moses conversing, a cloud came, casting a shadow over them;
from the cloud came a voice, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.” Mk_9:2-10

The vision, the voice, the command, the Glory:  There was no doubt that this was truly occurring and not a dream.  Jesus revealed His true Divine nature to the Apostles, and God, the Father validated what they had seen and gradually believed by Word – that Jesus IS the Son of God, the Messiah, the Savior of the world.  The Apostles hadn’t a clue as to what they had witnessed.  And yet, it would all slowly make sense in the weeks and years to come.

Ever witnessed a miraculous event in your lives, beloved?  Maybe we didn’t recognize it at the time, but as time goes on, all of a sudden it will come back and we will truly see it for what it was – the intervention of God in our lives.  He truly does Live.  And if we look we’ll see His miracles all around us every day.  Look, see, listen and LOVE!

With a special Happy Birthday prayer and blessing to the Love of my life, Mary Ann!  May our God bless you richly now and always – In Jesus’ Name!
