Jesus said to his disciples: “Stay awake! For you do not know on which day your Lord will come.” Mt_24:42-51
That could mean death. It could mean the end of the world for all. We just don’t know. But what we can know is our own readiness. If we were to face God within the next 5 minutes, would that face be red with embarrassment, or would it be smiling ear to ear in excitement to meet our Creator and Maker and Judge? No greater feeling is there than to be ready for the coming of Jesus – not by what you did, but by who you are!
