Jesus crossed paths with a funeral procession for the only son of a poor widow: he was moved with pity for her and said to her, “Do not weep.” He stepped forward and touched the coffin; at this the bearers halted, and he said, “Young man, I tell you, arise!” The dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother. Lk_7:11-17
Dead man speaking! Not something you run across very often. But when you’re in the presence of God, when Jesus resides in your heart, you never know what miracles might happen, when you believe! A person you haven’t seen in decades all of a sudden shows up (dead man speaking), and great, old relationships are restored. An ill child miraculously gets well, at the total incredulity of her physicians. A very needed rain shower waters your new bushes and saves you from having to artificially water them again. Dead men speaking. They’re all around us . . . When we BELIEVE!
