09-27-17 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

September 27, 2017
(St. Vincent de Paul, Priest)
Jesus summoned the Twelve and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick. . . .
Then they set out and went from village to village proclaiming the good news and curing diseases everywhere.  Lk_9:1-6

So what kind of demons can we expel, beloved?  And what kind of diseases can we cure?  Well, you know what, sometimes just some kind words, words of encouragement, words of hope can make a world of difference in the healing of those who are down. And they can even expel demons who want nothing less than to bring us despair and separation and hopelessness.  Jesus IS our hope.  When we can let the world know the hope that Jesus promises to EVERYONE, we’ll find a world that is much more livable, much more joyful!  And we certainly can use a little joy in our world today!  We ARE Jesus’ people of hope and joy!  Let’s go do some healing!!!  Let’s go spread some LOVE!
